about

The demo was started as a collaboration after the 2007 Kerrville Folk Festival when I was touring and based outside of Austin. There was a large musician community there, and I fell in with some of them, and we all just wanted to... play, work, write and record music. So that's what we did.

This demo was never meant to be published as an album, is very raw indeed, and mostly was experimentation with different forms, but was one of the collaborations that I always thought had some fun potential. These compositions are a little more pop than I typically wrote, so it was fun meshing styles.

I hope you enjoy this little window into process and transmutation rather than polish.
